Kong Fuzi's books and records were kept and referenced for thousands of years after his death. Even the books his students and he chose to study were used most by the Chinese government for educating their children. Living disciples passed on these ideas and beliefs as well, only strengthening the huge influence Confucianism had on the development of China.
ANALYZATION: While Kong Fuzi wasn't quite important enough to get a higher government position, his ideas had a profound effect on China and the rest of the world, even if it was after his death. Confucianism, as a belief system that supports moral righteousness and ethics, is such an amazing and influential idea because it is so general in its principles and can be found applicable to any person, anywhere, at any time, which is probably why it has lasted so long.
